Following a visit of 28 Rotarians from 5 Rotary Clubs in the Peterborough area to our depot on Friday 26th July, we were so pleased to see the coverage for Aquabox in the Peterborough Telegraph under the very apt heading 'Something we take for granted'.

Peterborough Visit 260719Members of the Peterborough Ortons, Peterborough, Huntingdon Cromwell, Stamford and Bingham Rotary Clubs spent the morning with us having a tour of the depot, seeing our volunteers at work packing our aid boxes and assembling the water filters and having a demo of how our Family Filter turns dirty, potentially contaminated, water into clean drinkable water.

During the visit, Lawrie Cooke, President of Huntingdon Cromwell Rotary Club, presented a cheque to Aquabox chair of trustees, Roger Cassidy, for £500.

The group followed up their visit to Aquabox with a delicious lunch overlooking beautiful Carsington Water before visiting the Tramway Village at Crich.

Our grateful thanks go to Clive Doubleday, Vice President of Peterborough Ortons Rotary Club, for organising the visit, the Rotary Club of Huntingdon Cromwell for their generous donation and of course the Peterborough Telegraph for publishing the article.

Peterborough TelegraphSafe drinking water is something we do take for granted but there are millions of people around the world who do not have access to clean water.

Without the generosity of our supporters, we would not be able to carry out the work we do, sending life-saving water filters and other aid to those in need, helping to prevent the spread of water-borne diseases.
