We have to report the very sad news about the passing of one of our Aquabox Ambassadors, Rob Keating.
Rob was a member of the Rotary Club of Ayr in Rotary District 1230 (West of Scotland). He was a passionate and loyal supporter of our charity. His efforts over the years of his involvement cannot be overestimated.
I was fortunate to be able to meet Rob at the District 1010 Conference in Aberdeen this October. His support was very helpful to me. He made what could have been a long day speed past. Little did I know that shortly after this, Rob was to receive such a dreadful prognosis. It is a testimony to his commitment that he attended the conference when obviously unwell.
Aquabox Ambassadors are the life blood of our charity. Rob was a jewel amongst this group. Rob and his Aquabox team raised funds which have provided access to clean drinking water to many hundreds of people in need across the world.
On behalf of the Trustees at Aquabox, many many thanks Rob for your unstinting support, and our thoughts are with Rob’s family at this sad time.
