David Rawson, a member of the Rotary Club of Bakewell, is a regular visitor to The Gambia, along with his wife Tina. David and Tina are both Aquabox volunteers and over many years they have identified locations in The Gambia which have benefited from the provision of both the Family Filter and the Community Filter. On each visit they monitor the performance of the filters in use.
On a recent occasion the Gambian Minister of Education thanked David for this valuable contribution, referring to a great improvement in school attendance at the places where the safe drinking water, provided by the Aquabox Filters, was significantly reducing child illness and absenteeism from school.
