This year’s fantastic design for the Aquabox well at the famous Wirksworth Well Dressing and Carnival, held over the May Bank Holiday weekend, was by Vally Miller.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped to create the well dressing, put it in place and looked after it during the festivities. These were Vally, Andy, Roz, Naomi, Marsha, Maura, Nicole, Chris, Marc, Hilary, Iain, Joy, Jayne, Helen, David, & Kevin.
Thanks to everyone who visited and admired the well, tried out the filter and donated money. This year’s furthest visitors travelled from Canada (60 years after emigrating from here) especially to see the Wirksworth Well dressings!
Thanks to the Spencer Brothers who (again) donated the clay and Wirksworth Town Council & Carnival Committee who coordinate the event.
