Shipment update

With the increase in filter production Aquaboost has given us, our logistics team has been working hard to establish new distribution links across the world. It is a busy period for our team with 3 consignments leaving in late August and more shipments due out in the next few weeks, including a major one to Myanmar and we will keep you updated.

Rwanda, Mozambique and Uganda.

In late August we sent trial shipments to 3 Africa countries with a new partner people2people, a USA Rotary foundation. This is the first step in helping projects in Africa.
The group are working with 8 villages across the 3 countries to execute WASH projects. These projects will benefit 18,000 people who do not have access to safe drinking water and, in many instances, are fleeing conflict.

Ukraine
As well as our well established routes in to war torn Ukraine two new logistics partners are being trialled – Convoys4Ukraine and Aid-Ukraine. On 30th August we sent our first consignment with Convoys4Ukraine. This was a link was established through the Chesterfield Rotary Club. We have heard from the driver of the vehicle this morning and they hope to arrive in Lviv in the next few days and we hope to send further shipments through these new providers to the WASH hub during September.

Nepal
For a number of years now we have held strategic stock in Nepal covering districts surrounding Kathmandu. Like a lot of areas in Nepal they are frequently impacted by earthquakes, floods and mudslides. It is important to keep stock on the ground so that when disaster strikes it can take as little as a few hours to get our aid to the site.

The next shipment for Nepal will contain Aid boxes, Family and community water filters and will leave the depot on 17th September.
