10th September 2016
What a fantastic evening was had at this event put on by the Wirksworth ‘Raise Your Voices’ choir and Wirksworth Community Theatre in aid of Aquabox. Thank you so much to everyone involved for an incredible event.
Aquabox Trustee Roger Cassidy says, “We would also like to thank all at Traid Links Ltd who worked tirelessly to publicise the concert and sell the tickets. In addition, thanks to Ian, Graham Chris and Alison, from St Mary’s, for ensuring that all was set up on the night, as well as our wonderful Rotary and Aquabox volunteers who worked so hard to ensure everything ran smoothly.
I am delighted to let you know that the concert raised over £1,600 which is a fantastic achievement. and a big thank you and well done to everyone.
As Mike explained during the concert, Aquabox launched its Autumn campaign last week to raise the funds to send a further 500 Aquaboxes to Syria before the winter weather sets in. These Aquaboxes will be distributed to the families and communities in the Displaced Persons Camps by Hand In Hand for Syria and the proceeds from the Water concert are a wonderful start to this appeal. With all kind wishes and a sincere thanks for your support!”
