Following the successful Annual Charity Concert in October, the Alfreton Male Voice Choir was proud to donate £1000 to Aquabox. Ticket sales, raffle and donations and fantastic support from many people far and wide enabled this money to be raised.
The Choir and Trumpeter John Barker entertained the audience along with the Sagalouts Skiffle Group. At this week’s choir practice, Aquabox volunteer Keith Hardy came along to receive the cheque and said how much the donation is appreciated.
Aquabox is currently packing boxes with water filters and aid items for Yemen. As the charity is almost entirely run by volunteers, every penny of donations is put to work for the benefit of others.
A cheque for £1000 was handed over by the choir Treasurer Dave Smith and Chairman Mike Mullarkey. The picture shows Keith receiving it from Dave (right) and Mike (left).
