The Aquabox Trustees are very grateful for the knitted goods our hardworking supporters have kindly donated over the years. These woollies have been included as a part of our humanitarian aid packages that have been despatched to countries across the world in the aftermath of man-made and natural disasters. However, feedback from our partners and other organisations ‘on the ground’ indicates that we now need to re-consider what goes into our aid boxes.

The March Madness Barn Dance held at The Maltings in Wirksworth on Saturday 2nd March made over £800 which was fantastic. The funds raised are to be split equally between Aquabox and St Mary’s Church in Wirksworth.

We have just received some really positive feedback, along with some fabulous pictures, following the distribution of our aid boxes and Family Filters to needy families in Yemen.

Seven lucky families had a wonderful surprise when two Aquabox volunteers went to The Gambia in November and took seven Family Filters with them in their suitcases.

The Aquabox depot will be having its annual shutdown for the winter, closing on Friday 14th December and re-opening in the week commencing 11th February 2019.

Extensive floods caused by abnormal monsoon rains devastated hundreds of communities in Kerala, south west India, earlier this year. More than 500 people lost their lives, 3.4 million were displaced to 12,300 relief camps and some 23 million were affected.
