Our friends, the amazing Fishpond Choir, presented an evening concert on 19th September at St Mary’s Church, Wirksworth in support of Aquabox.
A packed church witnessed Musical Director, Claire De la Haye accompanied by Jon Hickinbotham and the Choir perform songs featuring music by Eric Whitacre, Karl Jenkins and Henry Mancini as well as music from opera, film and West End musicals…all inspired by the wonder and mystery of the Earth, Moon and Stars.
The evening raised over £1,800 for Aquabox, enough to provide clean drinking water for over 1,830 people.
Members of the choir were given a depot tour where they witnessed the magic of Aquabox. Claire De la Haye and James Churchill from the Fishpond Choir handed over the cheque to Roger Cassidy, Chair of Trustees at Aquabox.
Roger said, “This is the second year the choir have performed in Wirksworth, and we are so grateful for this fantastic support from such a talented Choir.”
