On 12th September, a packed St Mary’s Church in Wirksworth, enjoyed a fantastic performance by the Fishpond choir. The programme’s fitting theme in support of Aquabox, was the Circle of Life and featured songs from a wide range of composers from Mancini to Elton John. Songs included Moon River, Danny Boy, Ipharadisi (traditional South African song) with the Lion’s Kings ‘Circle of Life’ as the finale.
Over £1,400 was collected which will go to help Aquabox provide even more aid to countries such as Ukraine, Nepal, Yemen and Malawi.
From earthquakes and hurricanes, to working with refugees fleeing a war zone, Aquabox’s life saving water filters are in use in over 50 countries, converting billions of litres of contaminated water so that it is clean and safe to drink.
