Distribution of our aid in Kerala

11th October 2018

We have recently received feedback from our Rotary partners in Kerala, India, regarding the distribution of the aid we sent there following the dreadful floods which caused so much loss of life and damage to homes and villages.

Aquabox aid in Kerala 1Rotarian Dr Tina Antony (Rotary District 3211, Flood Co-ordinator, Kerala) tells us that she organised a ‘grand gathering’ (see top picture) of teachers and carers from local ‘Anganwadis’, (care centres for children, usually aged between 3 and 4, from poor backgrounds). The correct use of the filters was demonstrated. Altogether, 200 family filters and 10 community filters were distributed.

Hot on the heels of this news our Rotarian partners in Chalakudy (Cochin area) tell us that 93 gold boxes were sent out to needy families some days ago with the remainder of the 250 box consignment going out next week.

A big thank you from Aquabox to our Rotary partners in Kerala who have worked so hard to ensure the aid we sent reaches the people most in need, and of course to all our supporters for their generosity.
