Last year Aquabox celebrated its 25th anniversary and thanks to your wonderful support we are still going strong, continuing to respond to disasters across the globe and providing life-giving water as well as vital items of humanitarian aid.
As we experienced, 2017 was a very turbulent year for the world’s weather systems, with widespread floods in South Asia followed by hurricanes wreaking havoc across the Caribbean, resulting in significant loss of life and widespread destruction of homes. To help some of the communities most affected by these devastating events, Aquabox sent our family and community water filters and aid boxes, giving much-needed safe drinking water and helping to prevent the spread of water-borne disease.
We also helped those affected by numerous man-made disasters around the world, including the conflicts and resultant famines in South Sudan and surrounding countries, the continuing troubles in Syria and the Rohingya refugee crisis in Bangladesh.
Without your fantastic help and support, none of this practical action would be possible, and the Aquabox trustees, on behalf of the recipients of the aid, would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to you all, and wish you a very Happy and Peaceful New Year.
