AVK UK
AVK is the global leading supplier of valves, fittings and associated products to the water, waste water, gas and fire protection industries worldwide. It is now leveraging the skills and expertise of its workforce to help Aquabox provide clean water to those impacted by natural disasters around the world.
AVK is a privately owned business that is based in over 100 countries and has more than 5,000 employees. The AVK Group supports a range of charitable organisations worldwide. AVK’s social responsibility is reflected locally, nationally, and internationally through humanitarian work, examples of which are detailed in their Sustainability report.
In the UK the group of AVK companies have been supporters of Aquabox since 2021.
In addition to the annual Corporate sponsorship contribution, AVK UK have also involved employees with volunteering in filter production and aid box packing as well as running fundraising events for the charity and assisting with logistics and product assembly processes. In the UK, the AVK companies have a nominated “champion” at each of their 8 physical locations who coordinate activities thorough a Board Director who has a CSR remit.
In 2024, the AVK UK Group of Companies (Atplas, AVK UK, Fusion, and Glenfield Invicta Ltd), organised a charity walk (Walk4Water) in support of our UK nominated cross-business charity Aquabox. Over the spring and summer months, AVK colleagues across the UK donned their walking attire, dress appropriately for the good old UK weather, and set forth on a mission to raise funds, as well as getting their steps in!
As a collective result of all the activities the Walk4Water initiative has raised over £6k for Aquabox.
