Our man in Nepal.

In November last year Rotarian Dave Ashley, from Belper and Duffield Rotary Club and an Aquabox friend, visited Nepal.  Although on holiday, Dave could not resist paying a visit to our man on the ground, Nugal Vaidya in Kathmandu. Nepal is a country where we keep a strategic stock of Aqua aid-boxes. Nugal is a fellow Rotarian and helps with the storage of our stock and works alongside the Nepalese Armed Police and the Gurkhas, who are our delivery partners.

On behalf of Aquabox, Dave was presented with a “Token of Love” by the senior management of the Nepalese Armed Police at a ceremony in their Headquarters.

He spent three weeks  touring and trekking around this amazing country, and just to emphasise the precarious nature of life in Nepal, an earthquake measuring 6.4 magnitude, claiming 128 lives, happened early on in his visit. David helped Nugal prepare the Aqua-aid boxes to be collected during the night so they could be delivered to the earthquake site within hours.

We now need to replenish the stock of Aqua-aid boxes in Nepal, so any donations are welcome.
