Our ambassadors, scattered across the country and indeed the world, not only raise awareness of the work we do but also vital funds to help us make and deliver our water filters and aid to those in need. Gordon McGlone has been busy recently with two great events.
In September The Rotary Club of Spey Valley held its first Classic, Sports and EV Charity Car Tour. The event attracted 35 entries and started and finished in Aviemore. The route took the entrants through the Cairngorm National Park and Donside to the Glenfiddich Distillery for a lunch break.
After lunch at the Distillery the cars returned to Aviemore by a different route. The day finished off with an award dinner at the Macdonald Aviemore Resort.
The event was very successful and raised over £9000 with £3,000 being donated to Aquabox.
Then in October you can see Gordon getting ready to demonstrate the Aquabox family filter at the Rotary D1040 Conference in Scarborough.
