Sarah Teale, BBC East Midlands News presenter, filming at Aquabox.

Sarah Teale, a presenter on BBC East Midlands News, visited the depot recently to film a feature on Aquabox’s work this year. This will be broadcast on local TV later in the year in thier annual review of the year.

Sarah talked to Aquabox’s volunteer Colin Petty about the challenges we have faced in what has turned out to be one of the busiest years in our 32-year history. Colin explained that our dedicated team of over 80 volunteers have produced and sent out more aid in the form of our life saving water filters and Gold Boxes, in response to the many natural disasters and conflicts all around the world in 2023, than most can remember.

Aquabox Trustee Dominic Wish, also explained to Sarah that we have been working on an exciting project for many months, called Aquaboost, that will double our filter production next year and go on to increase production even more over the next 2 to 3 years.

We are so grateful for all the donations that have helped us to make this tremendous response so far, and please keep the donations coming in, they really do make a difference to people’s lives.
