Successful first corporate open day

Welcoming over 30 invited guests last Friday, we were delighted with our first corporate open day. Representing companies with local, national and global reaches the guests were treated to talks on the great work that Aquabox does saving lives around the world.

This included talks from two of our delivery partners; Fadi Aldairi from HIHFAD and Brad Moore from Operation Orphan. They were able to bring first hand information on the current situation in Turkey and Syria. We had also arranged a live video call with our partners in Ukraine, which was cut short due to a power cut, demonstrating how challenging it is at present for everyone in Ukraine.

Dominic Wish, an Aquabox trustee was able to show how we are embracing lean manufacturing to double production of the family water filter. This included a tour of the assembly room and the packing room where our humanitarian Aqua-Aid boxes are filled.

The day culminated in a new sponsorship agreement with Cosy Direct, thank you Peter Ellse DL MBA, more on that in the next post. Richard Tarbatt, Managing Director of Twiggs in Matlock, is also looking at how they can support us. If you would like to become a corporate partner, or arrange a company visit, to see Aquabox at our depot in Derbyshire, just send a message.
