A long-time corporate partner with Aquabox, AVK employees have surpassed themselves in 2024. As a collective result of all the activities the Walk4Water initiative has raised over £6,000 for Aquabox.
Roger Cassidy, Aquabox Chair of Trustees, on receiving the donation during a presentation with AVK UK Director, Paul Jennings, said: “The AVK donation will make a real difference and will allow us to provide 20 community filters and 25 family filters when we next respond to a disaster. These filters will be able to meet all the water needs for over 10,000 people – truly a gift of life.”
AVK is a privately owned business that is based in over 100 countries and has more than 5,000 employees. In the UK the group of AVK companies have been supporters of Aquabox since 2021.
Last year the AVK UK Group of Companies including Atplas, AVK UK, Fusion, and Glenfield Invicta Ltd, organised the charity walks in support of Aquabox. Over the spring and summer months, AVK colleagues across the UK donned their walking attire, dressed appropriately for the good old UK weather, and set forth on a mission to raise funds, as well as getting their steps in!
