This may not immediately seem the obvious combination – water at a beer festival! – but Aquabox was delighted to be chosen as the charity supported at the recent Ashbourne CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) beer festival.

Responding to the devastating floods in southern India, an initial consignment of 240 Family Filters and 10 Community Filters left the Aquabox depot on 23rd August bound for Bangalore by air freight to help meet the urgent need for clean drinking water.

Working with our partners Christian African Relief Trust (CART), 250 Aquaboxes will leave our depot on 28th August destined for Cameroon to help the large numbers of displaced people in the south-west region of the country.

Bakewell Rotary Club has been a long-standing supporter of Aquabox and it was with great pleasure that President Chris Webb was able to present Aquabox Trustee Roger Cassidy with a cheque for £600, this being the profit made from a Pie and Pea Supper held earlier in the year.

Thanks to the very considerable generosity of Faversham House, the media organisation supporting utilities in the UK, Aquabox was able to have a presence at the ‘Utility Week Live’ event at the NEC, Birmingham.

With the help of the Eyemouth Rotary Club, children from Eyemouth Primary School get their hands on an AquaFilter Family Unit at their school picnic to see at first hand how it turns dirty contaminated water into clean safe drinking water.
