We are delighted to have received a number of pictures and videos from our Rotary Club colleagues in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Aquabox was very gratified to be able to send a supply of 500 Gold Boxes to be distributed to the needy Rohingya people in the refugee camps in Bangladesh.

Every month there is a quiz in the Winster village hall, to have fun but also to raise money for local groups and charities. On Friday 26th October Aquabox volunteer Geoff Lester is organising one for Aquabox, with Geoff and his wife asking the questions.

A huge thank you to all our supporters for the knitted blankets, children’s clothing and teddies. We now have a large supply of these items and storage is becoming a problem for us at our depot. As we do not want the items to get damaged, we ask that further supplies are not sent to us for the time being.

Wirksworth was transformed with imaginative displays in shop windows, weird and wonderful goods for sale, strange potions to drink, a double decker bus to ride and owls, snakes, lizards and spiders to handle!

Thanks to the efforts of Aquabox volunteers, in the past two months alone we have sent over £90,000 worth of water purification filters and other humanitarian aid items to help people cope with the floods in Kerala in southern India and to support the thousands of displaced people in Cameroon.
